About the Artist: Paul Villinski, born in 1960 in York, Maine, is a renowned American artist known for his innovative studio and large-scale artworks that often explore themes of flight, transformation, and environmental sustainability. With a BFA from Cooper Union, Villinski's work spans over three decades and includes notable exhibitions at prestigious venues like the Smithsonian American Art Museum Renwick Gallery and the Taubman Museum of Art. He is recognized for his public installations, such as "Skycycles" in New York City and "Gather" at the University of Michigan Hospital, which often repurpose discarded materials into poetic, kinetic sculptures.
